1. Online Advertising Services
A. Platform Advertising
We offer paid advertising opportunities on our platform. Advertisements are displayed prominently on our website and mobile applications based on:
- Search relevance
- Content quality and policy compliance
- Bid amounts and budget allocation
- Performance metrics
You may promote some or all of your listings through our advertising system. All advertising must comply with the Advertising Regulatory Board (ARB) Code of Advertising Practice.
B. Purchasing Advertisements
Our advertising system operates on a bid-based auction model:
- Costs are charged on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis
- Payment is required only when your ad receives clicks
- All bids and transactions are in South African Rand (ZAR)
- Daily budgets must meet our minimum requirements
- Campaigns can be paused at any time, but you remain responsible for costs incurred
- No refunds are provided for clicked advertisements
C. Budget Management
- Set your daily maximum spending limit
- Automatic bid management system optimizes within your budget
- All listings are included by default unless manually excluded
- Listing updates automatically reflect in advertisements
2. Third-Party Advertising
We may display your listings on third-party platforms and search engines. If enabled:
- We manage upfront advertising costs
- You pay fees only when sales result from these advertisements
- Attribution window is 30 days from click to purchase
- Compliance with third-party platform policies is required
3. Promotions and Discounts
A. Sales and Vouchers
You may offer:
- Percentage discounts
- Free delivery promotions
- Promotional codes
- Time-limited offers
All promotions must comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including:
- Clear disclosure of terms and conditions
- Accurate original and sale prices
- Reasonable stock availability
- Clear promotion duration
B. Targeted Marketing
- Must comply with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act)
- Requires explicit consumer consent
- Must include opt-out mechanisms
- Clear disclosure of marketing nature
4. Legal Compliance and Disclaimers
A. General Requirements
All advertisements must:
- Be truthful and not misleading
- Include all mandatory disclosures
- Comply with ARB guidelines
- Meet POPIA requirements for personal information
- Adhere to ECT Act requirements for electronic communications
B. Platform Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or terminate advertising services
- Reject or remove non-compliant advertisements
- Adjust pricing and features with notice
- Update policies as required by law
C. Limitations
- No guarantee of ad performance or sales
- No warranty on specific placement or visibility
- Service availability subject to change
- Features may vary based on platform updates
5. Intellectual Property
You must ensure all advertising content:
- Respects third-party intellectual property rights
- Uses only authorized content and images
- Complies with copyright and trademark laws
- Includes proper attributions where required
